Richard Wayne is responsible for all of the company’s business divisions including the Northeast Community Banking Division, ableBanking, and the Loan Acquisition and Servicing Group. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Northeast Bank and Northeast Bancorp. Prior to joining Northeast, Mr. Wayne co-founded Capital Crossing Bank, in Boston, Massachusetts, where he served as its President and Co-Chief Executive Officer from 1991 until its sale in February 2007. Capital Crossing Bank was a national leader in the acquisition and management of commercial loans, purchasing over $2 billion of loans.
He holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, a LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law and a B.S. in Accounting from Syracuse University.
Patrick Dignan is responsible for developing new lending opportunities and ensuring sound credit quality throughout all business lines. Prior to joining Northeast Bank in 2010, Mr. Dignan was a Senior Vice President with Capital Crossing Servicing Company and its predecessor firms: Capital Crossing, a Division of Lehman Brothers Bank, and Capital Crossing Bank.
While at Capital Crossing, Mr. Dignan was the Director of Real Estate, and played a central role in the development of the firm's loan acquisition platform. Mr. Dignan holds a B.A. in Philosophy from St. John’s College, is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and a member of the Counselors of Real Estate.
Brian Fenwick is the Director of Loan Underwriting, managing all aspects of credit underwriting in connection with loan purchases and originations in the Loan Acquisition and Servicing Group. Prior to joining Northeast Bank in January, 2011, Mr. Fenwick was an Assistant Vice President at Capital Crossing Servicing Company and its predecessor firms: Capital Crossing, a Division of Lehman Brothers Bank, and Capital Crossing Bank.
While at Capital Crossing, Mr. Fenwick worked in business development, underwriting and asset management. Before joining Capital Crossing, Mr. Fenwick was an Account Executive at GreenPoint Mortgage Funding, a subsidiary of Capital One. Mr. Fenwick graduated from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut with a B.A. in Economics in 2002.
Christopher Hickey is the Director of Asset Management at Northeast Bank, overseeing all aspects of the Bank’s commercial and managed loan portfolios nationwide. With over 22 years of experience in banking and asset management, he possesses an extensive loan servicing background, completing or overseeing a wide range of resolution transactions all across the country and including most asset classes. He is also experienced in foreclosure, liquidation and bankruptcy proceedings.
Prior to joining Northeast Bank in 2010, Christopher held various senior management positions at Capital Crossing Servicing Company and its predecessor firms, most recently as a Senior Vice President and Director of Asset Management. Prior to joining Capital Crossing in 1998, he worked at the former Bank of New England, Recoll Management, and Fleet National Bank. He holds a B.A. in history from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine.
Jeanne A. Hulit is responsible for leading Northeast Bank’s operations in Maine. Prior to joining Northeast Bank, Jeanne was the Acting Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration in Washington, DC. Previously, she was responsible for overseeing the agency’s loan programs as Associate Administrator for SBA’s Office of Capital Access, and served as SBA’s New England Regional Administrator. Over her 18 years in banking in Maine, Jeanne has held numerous leadership positions including Senior Vice President for Commercial Lending at Citizens Bank, Vice President and Middle Market Lender at KeyBank, N.A., and manager of Key’s International Banking Division. In addition, Jeanne served as Deputy Director of the International Division at the Maine Department of Economic and Community Development.
Heidi Jacques oversees all aspects of human resources including talent management, compensation, employee benefits, and training. She works with hiring managers and the local community to communicate job opportunities and support employee growth. Ms. Jacques joined Northeast Bank from ING in Lewiston where she was Senior Human Resources Business Partner, overseeing the performance management, new hire orientation, and employee relations efforts for over 1,100 employees. She began her career in human resource consulting, working with a variety of businesses to fulfill employee hiring, orientation, and training needs.
Ms. Jacques was a Senior Human Resources Manager for AGERE Systems (formerly Lucent Technologies/AT&T), where she planned and directed human resource programs for two business units consisting of over 800 employees. She is an active member of the Lewiston/Auburn community, and has held leadership positions with the Central Maine Human Resources Association. She is also a member of the planning board for the Wellness Council of Androscoggin County. Ms. Jacques has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern Maine and has completed master's coursework in Human Resources Management at Rutgers University. In addition, she has obtained Certifications in Human Resource Management from Rutgers and Cornell University.
Julie Jenkins is responsible for oversight of the Loan Servicing, Deposit Operations, Information Technology and Customer Contact Center departments of the Bank. She ensures that all operational components are running effectively and remain current with ongoing compliance, risk management, and technology updates. Prior to becoming Director of Operations, Ms. Jenkins was the Director of eBanking Strategic Initiatives. In that role, she was responsible for developing and implementing the operational and technical processes to support the Bank’s affinity banking strategy. This included managing the various third party relationships hired to develop the new website, integrating the technical components of the website with the Bank’s current technology platform, streamlining the online account opening process, and the development of internal controls to ensure this channel remains compliant with the current regulations.
Prior to joining Northeast Bank, Ms. Jenkins was at Sovereign Bank, where she led a team of internal consultants for its parent, Banco Santander, who were responsible for planning, organizing and implementing enterprise-wide new technology systems for the company. Ms. Jenkins has held senior operations and technology positions at Mt. Washington Bank and Abington Savings Bank. She earned her B.A. in Management from Assumption College in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Jim Krumsiek is Legal Counsel at Northeast Bank, and has practiced law in Massachusetts for over 20 years. Prior to joining Northeast Bank in 2011, he was in private practice in Boston with the firm of Perry, Krumsiek and Jack, LLP, where his practice focused primarily on commercial transactions, including acquisitions, refinances, and restructuring of debt secured by real and/or personal property. Prior to joining Perry, Krumsiek and Jack, LLP, Mr. Krumsiek was in-house counsel to Capital Crossing Bank in Boston.
Before joining Capital Crossing in 2000, he was in private practice with several firms later became a partner at Riemer & Braunstein, LLP. Mr. Krumsiek holds a J.D. from the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, IN, and a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association in 1989 and the United States District Court of Massachusetts in 1990.
Theresa Morrison is the Director of Real Estate Valuation, managing all aspects of commercial real estate valuation in connection with loan originations, acquisitions, and servicing. Prior to joining Northeast Bank in April, 2010, Ms. Morrison was a Vice President at Capital Crossing Servicing Company and its predecessor firms: Capital Crossing, a Division of Lehman Brothers Bank, and Capital Crossing Bank.
While at Capital Crossing, Ms. Morrison held a senior position in the Real Estate Department, managing real estate due diligence projects for loan portfolio acquisitions, as well as an ORE portfolio. Prior to working at Capital Crossing, Ms. Morrison was an associate at JPMorgan Chase in New York. Ms. Morrison graduated from George Washington University in Washington, DC, with a B.B.A. in Finance in 1999.
Brian Pinheiro is responsible for implementing and maintaining Northeast Bank’s enterprise risk management processes. Enterprise risk management facilitates the Bank’s analysis of risks and controls across all of its business lines.
Prior to joining Northeast Bank, Mr. Pinheiro served as Managing Director at Corporate Finance Group, Inc. (CFGI) where he provided consulting services to financial institutions and banking clients. Before his position at CFGI, he was an Audit Manager in the Financial Services practice at Deloitte & Touche, Boston.
Mr. Pinheiro received a B.S. and M.S. in Accountancy from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Brian Shaughnessy has the responsibility for the company’s finance and accounting. He joins the company directly from KPMG LLP where he worked since 2005 and served as a Senior Manager in their banking audit practice.
His responsibilities at KPMG LLP included providing professional audit services to clients in the financial services sector. Mr. Shaughnessy is a certified public accountant and received a B.S. and a M.S. in Accountancy from Bentley University.
Jonathan W. Smith is responsible for Northeast Bank’s Small Business Administration Lending. Prior to joining Northeast Bank, he served as TD Bank’s Regional Sales Manager for their National SBA Program. Before his role with TD Bank, Mr. Smith served as a Regional Account Manager at CIT Small Business Lending for Northern New England and the Director of Business Development at Priority Capital.
He is a graduate of Suffolk University.
Mr. Wright oversees the 10 retail branches and more than 55 retail staff for the Community Banking Division. Prior to joining Northeast Bank in 2007, Jeff was a Branch Manager for Key Bank and started his career as a Financial Advisor for Salomon Smith Barney. He has over 15 years’ experience in the financial services and banking industry.
He holds a B.A. from Stonehill College.
