Northeast Bancorp Completes $16 Million Investment

Northeast Bancorp (NASDAQ: NBN) (“Northeast”) announced today that it has completed the previously announced merger with FHB Formation LLC (“FHB”). As a result of this transaction, Northeast will receive approximately $16 million in new capital.

Northeast Bancorp (NASDAQ: NBN) (“Northeast”) announced today that it has received all shareholder and regulatory approvals necessary to complete the merger with FHB Formation LLC (“FHB”), bringing approximately $16 million of new capital to Northeast. The transaction is expected to close on or before December 31, 2010, with Northeast continuing as the surviving entity.

Tina Willard Promoted To Vice President/Commercial Loan Officer at Northeast Bank

Northeast Bank Insurance Group Moves Scarborough Office to New Location

Northeast Bank Insurance Group’s Scarborough office has moved to 383 US Route 1, Scarborough, ME 04074 effective Monday, November 29, 2010. The new location will house the Scarborough insurance office’s current staff which includes George Gould, Anita Turcotte, Sally Stowell, Matt Vaillancourt, Millie MacDonald, and Heidi Villacci.  In addition, Northeast Bank will add commercial and residential lending specialists in the coming months, providing access to a wide range of financial services.

Northeast Bank Board of Directors Appoints Colette Twigg-Rowse to Senior Credit Officer

Northeast Bank announces the appointment of Colette Twigg-Rowse to Senior Credit Officer for the company by unanimous vote from the Board of Directors. Twigg-Rowse has been the Director of Credit and Operational Risk in the Risk Management Division for Northeast Bank since 2005. In addition to her current duties, she will assume oversight of the Loan Review process at the bank.

Becky Mason Joins Northeast Bank as Senior Mortgage Loan Officer

Northeast Bank will support Maine’s hungry by sponsoring the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program’s 3rd Annual Auction fundraiser which will take place November 20th at The Knights of Columbus Hall in Brunswick, from 5pm-8pm.

Northeast Bank Donates to Common Ties - Giving Back to Those in Need

As part of its commitment to social responsibility and concern for its community, Northeast Bank has donated $500 to Common Ties Mental Health Services located in Lewiston.

Common Ties will put the donated money towards a new project which aims to increase access to preventive dental care and promotes the idea that every person should have a “dental home.”

As part of its commitment to social responsibility and concern for its community, Northeast Bank has donated $1,500 to Sandcastle Clinical and Educational Services located in Lewiston.

Sandcastle Clinical and Educational Services, which specializes in early childhood education and intervention gratefully, received the donation, which will fund a playground shading structure at their new 72 Strawberry Avenue location in Lewiston. The new facility opens officially on September 1st.
