Northeast Bank today announced the availability of up to $10 million for qualified small business loans throughout Maine. The program will be offered in conjunction with the Small Business Administration (SBA), and aims to target new and existing small businesses in Maine who are looking to grow or expand their operations.

Northeast Bancorp announced today that James Delamater, Chief Executive Officer of its Community Banking Division will retire on August 1, 2013 to pursue other interests in the private sector. Mr. Delamater will remain on the Northeast Bank Community Advisory Board, and will continue to be active in the community on several boards.

Grant will help the more than 200 displaced residents start over after Lewiston fires
Northeast Bank today announced today a $5,000 donation to the YWCA of Central Maine, which will be directed toward its newly created Lewiston Fire Victims Fund. The fund is a new YWCA initiative, established in response to the growing needs of victims affected by the recent downtown fires. All donations contributed to the fund will go toward assisting victims purchase critical necessities and household items as they work to rebuild their lives.

Northeast Bank today announced that is has awarded a $1,000 grant to the Sexual Assault Response Services of Southern Maine (SARSSM) to support its violence prevention and anti-bullying programs in schools. The School-Based Education program services grades K-12 and is dedicated to teaching youth how to respond to and prevent bullying, as well as sexual violence.
Donates $1,000 to supplement the cost of housing for the fire victims
Northeast Bank announced today a donation of $1,000 to the American Red Cross to support their effort in assisting with the cost of housing individuals who were displaced after their homes were destroyed in Mondays’ fire. Without this donation, as of Thursday morning, the displaced residents would have been without temporary shelter or housing.
Donates $1,500 to the YWCA of Central Maine for Supplies for Victims
Northeast Bank today announced efforts to offer both financial resources and volunteer support for the victims of the Blake Street apartment fires in Lewiston. Northeast Bank will be opening its five area branch locations to collect donations for victims of the Blake Street apartment fires. Community members can visit the following branch locations to donate clothing and much needed toiletry items. All collected donations will be delivered to the YWCA of Central Maine for distribution to those in need.
