Northeast Bank Donates $1,426 ”Dollar-for-Pound” to the Buckfield Food Pantry

Lewiston, Maine
Friday, January 29, 2016

Northeast Bank announced today a $1,426 donation to support the Buckfield Food Pantry. The bank’s Buckfield branch held a door-to-door food drive in late 2015 which raised 1,426 pounds of food, resulting in a “dollar-for-pound” donation to support local food assistance efforts.

“Northeast Bank’s branch is an important part of the Buckfield community and our employees care deeply for their neighbors,” said Jeanne A. Hulit, President of the Community Banking Division. “Food pantries are a vital piece of every community and the Buckfield branch team is proud to support their efforts to provide assistance to local families.”

The Buckfield Community Food Pantry distributes food to those in need within the Buckfield community. This is the third year in a row Northeast Bank has matched dollar-for-pound in support of this organization.
