Northeast Bank announced today a $10,000 donation to support Junior Achievement of Maine (JA). This donation will help support two major JA fundraising initiatives – the Maine Golf Classic and Maine Business Hall of Fame Gala – as well as JA programming throughout the state.  In addition, Northeast Bank will increase volunteerism with the organization, including participation in financial literacy events at local schools.

“Supporting the financial education of local youth is a top priority at Northeast Bank,” said Robert T. Banaski, Senior Vice President, Director of Community Banking. “We are proud to partner with Junior Achievement in this effort and are hopeful our contribution makes a difference.”

Junior Achievement of Maine partners with local schools and businesses to provide financial education for all students, from elementary to high school. Through a wide array of programs, including JA in a Day and the Titan Challenge, communities are able to come together to better prepare younger generations for a financially stable future.
