Northeast Bank announced today a $1,000 donation to District Exchange, an organization dedicated to supporting those in need throughout the Bethel-area. The Northeast Bank Bethel branch continues to serve as a year-round clothing drop location for this organization.

“District Exchange has a long history of success in bolstering needy families throughout Bethel.” said Jeanne A. Hulit, President of the Community Banking Division. “We are proud to continue our support of this important organization.”

The Bethel District Exchange was founded in 1992 and has operated as a cooperative venture in collaboration with area towns, churches and a group of dedicated volunteers.  The District Exchange is a "thrift shop" for in-season clothes in good wearable condition.  Community Members can drop off clothing donations at the bank’s Bethel branch on 11 Main Street, anytime during normal business hours.
